Our History

Renukabai Bhausaheb Hiray Kanya Vidyalaya and Junior College, Malegaon Camp, is a reputed educational institute for girls, operated by Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir, Panchavati, Nashik. The school was established in 1959 by the great visionary and former Minister of Maharashtra. It was named after Renukabai Bhausaheb Hiray, wife of Karmveer Bhausaheb Hiray.

Though she was uneducated, she was always an inspiring force for Bhausaheb Hiray in establishing educational institutes for the upliftment of the masses. Ex-Ministers Vyankatraoji Hiray, Smt. Pushpatai Hiray, Dr. Prashant V. Hiray, Dr. Apoorva P. Hiray, Dr. Advaya P. Hiray, and the present school committee President, Smt. Sampada Hiray, have been our guiding and inspiring forces for continuous innovation in academic, extracurricular, and co-curricular activities for the bright future of the students.

Our students have excelled in various competitions at school and college levels, whether in sports or science olympiads. Events such as the State-level poetry reading competition, Karmaveer Bhausaheb Hiray National Elocution Competition, music festivals, public lecture series, and various honors programs on the occasion of Women's Day are regularly organized. Keeping up with the changing times, the school has introduced Semi-English Classes, government-recognized computer laboratories, and many other advancements.
