Examination Pattern(Junior College)
Examinations (as per circular from Maharashtra state Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune-411 005, Circular No. SB/BR.High.Sec/Exam./Dated 7-3-2007)
Four examinations will be held for the students during the course of the academic year:
First Unit Test. - The portion for this examination will be the portion taught up to the last working day before this examination.
Term-End (Terminal) Examination. The portion for this examination will be the entire portion taught up to the last working day before this examination.
Second Unit Test. This will be held in the Second Term. The portion for the examination will be the portion taught from the first working day of the Second Term to the last working day before the examination.
The Preliminary Examination for S.Y.J.C. Classes only will be held in the month of January. The portion for the examination will be the entire portion taught during both the terms of the academic year. The pattern and duration of the examination will be the same as prescribed by the Board for the H.S.C. Examination.
The Annual Examination for the F.Y.J.C. classes only will be held in the month of February/March. The 'Portion' for the examination will be the portion taught during the Second Term and 20% of questions on the 1st Term syllabus.
Supplementary First Terminal / Second Terminal Examination is arranged only for those students who inform the Principal, in writing of their inability to appear for the First Terminal / Second Terminal Examination because of ill health or for reasons beyond their control and to the satisfaction of the Principal.
The detailed programs of the respective examinations showing the duration of each question paper and the number of marks assigned will be put up on the noticeboard from time to time. Appearing for all the examinations is compulsory. The students should note that they will be examined in Theory and Orals or Practical or Tutorials or Seminar and their performance in each Test-Examination will be taken into consideration while promoting them to the next higher class. For this purpose, students` attendance will also be considered.
The final result of the F.Y.J.C. classes will be decided on the average marks (a+b+c+d) First Unit Test = 25 Marks Term End Examination = 50 Marks. Second Unit Test = 25 Marks Final Written Annual Exam (at the end of 2nd term) = 80 / 70 Marks Oral / Practical 20 / 30 Average Results =25+50+25+ (80 / 70) +( 20 / 30) =200/2=100 marks (Average)
